Mcat One Click Return – the withdrawal button the law requires

Since 19 June 2026 every store that lets consumers conclude contracts online must provide a digital withdrawal function. This is required by article 11a of directive 2011/83/EU, introduced by directive 2023/2673. A contact form or a printable PDF is not enough.

Why this is not an ordinary returns plugin

Every popular RMA plugin works like this: the customer asks for a return, and the store approves or rejects it. Article 11a requires something different. Withdrawal is a unilateral declaration by the consumerwhich the store does not approve but accepts, dates and confirms. That difference is built into the whole structure of the plugin, which is why an ordinary RMA module does not close this obligation.
