The last three modules are off by default and you switch them on deliberately, with one toggle. It does not reach beyond WordPress: your hosting, your domain and your bank stay untouched.

You do not need a ready-made template, an agency or a page builder. You say what site you want, and AI creates the subpages, writes the copy, uploads images, arranges the menu, sets up the store and finishes the look, working directly on your theme files.
I have an empty WordPress. Build a site for a cleaning company: home page, services, prices, about us and contact with a form. Navy and white, a calm and matter-of-fact tone.

Building the look needs the themes module, which you enable with one toggle in the plugin panel. Before you start a larger rebuild, make a backup, just as you would for any other change to the site.

The whole post is written and lands on the blog: title, body, category, tags and featured image. You can have it published straight away or left as a draft to review.

“Prepare four posts and schedule one for each Monday.” They go into the schedule and publish themselves.

Meta title, description for Google, headings and links to product pages. It can also go through old posts and fill the gaps in bulk.

Install the plugin
Upload Mcat-MCP to WordPress like any other plugin and activate the licence key.
Generate a token
The panel creates the token and the connection address (the MCP endpoint). One click and it is done.
Talk to your store
Paste the address and the token into ChatGPT, Codex or Claude. The panel gives you a ready set of instructions for each of them.

ChatGPT
The simplest way: paste the ready prompt from the panel into the Codex built into ChatGPT, and it connects on its own. It works on a free account too.
You only have to give Codex internet access once and add the domain of your store. If you prefer, you can add your own MCP connector instead, but that requires the Plus plan or higher.
OpenAI Codex
You add three lines to the configuration file or paste the ready prompt, and Codex connects on its own.
Claude and Claude Code
One command in the terminal or a ready configuration snippet for Claude Desktop. Copy it from the panel and paste.
Gemini
You connect the Gemini CLI with a ready configuration snippet from the panel. In the browser you attach your own server at gemini.google.com/apps, within Gemini Spark.

Free MCP plugins for WordPress say it outright in their documentation: development and staging environments only. They let AI execute arbitrary PHP code, which is excellent while building a site and risky on a store holding customer orders. Mcat-MCP is designed the other way round.

No code execution

You enable only what you need
WooCommerce alone? Go ahead. The risky modules, meaning theme files, plugins and raw SQL, are off by default.
Runs on ordinary hosting
WordPress 5.6+ and PHP 7.4+. It needs neither the newest WordPress nor PHP 8, so you can run it on cheap shared hosting without migrating.

Your server, your token,
your rules.
Access only with your token (which you can regenerate at any time) and only through the authorisation header, so the token never travels in a URL. Three permission levels: full, read and write, read only. You enable only the modules you need. The data passes through no third-party servers, your AI client connects straight to your WordPress.

Every package contains the same thing: the full plugin, all modules and lifetime updates. They differ only in the number of sites where you activate the key. The licence is tied to a site permanently, one licence means one WordPress.

After your purchase you receive the licence key and a download link by e-mail. You activate the key on the site where it is to work. The assignment is permanent, so another site needs a licence of its own.

Do I need to know how to code?
No. You install the plugin like any other, click “generate token” and paste the ready prompt into Claude or Codex.
How many sites can one purchase cover?
It depends on the package: 46 € covers one website, 94 € covers three. The key is assigned to the address where you activate it and stays there permanently, so you do not move it to later projects. If you build sites for clients, each one needs its own licence. More than three? Write to us and we will work something out.
I am changing domain or moving from a staging address, what then?
Write to us and we will move your key to the new address. The permanent assignment exists to stop one key serving one client project after another, not to punish you for moving your own site.
Does it work with ChatGPT?
Yes, even on a free account. ChatGPT has Codex built in, so you just paste the ready prompt from the plugin panel and it connects to your store on its own. Once, you have to give Codex internet access and add your store’s domain to the allowed list. The second route, for Plus and above, is adding your own MCP connector in developer mode.
Do I have to code or use a terminal?
No. With ChatGPT everything happens in the chat window: you copy the ready text from the plugin panel and paste it. The terminal is only useful with Claude Code, and even there it comes down to pasting one command.
Is my data safe?
Everything happens on your server. Access is protected by a token, and you decide the permission level and which modules are on.
Do I need WooCommerce?
For managing a store, yes. Without WooCommerce you still manage all of your WordPress content: blog posts, pages, media and SEO.
I have an empty WordPress. Will it build the whole site for me?
Yes. It creates subpages, writes copy, uploads images, arranges the menu and finishes the look by editing theme files. For that last part the themes module has to be enabled in the plugin panel.
What if I use Elementor, Divi or another editor?
It works there too. Every editor, whether Gutenberg, Elementor, Divi, WPBakery or Bricks, stores page content in WordPress, and the plugin has full access to that data, so it can read and change it.
Does AI really publish the post, or does it only write the text?
It publishes it. The post is written and lands on your site straight away, with its category, tags, featured image and description for Google. You can also ask for it to be saved as a draft or scheduled for a particular day and time.
How do I get the plugin after buying?
Right after the payment you receive a link to download the ZIP file and the licence key to activate.
Can I use this on a store that is actually selling?
Yes, that is what it was built for. AI does not run arbitrary code on your server, only concrete store operations, and every one of them goes into the change history. You can also set read-only mode and let AI do nothing but report. As with any serious change to a store: keep backups running.
How is it different from free MCP plugins?
Free solutions aim at developers building sites on staging. They allow executing PHP and editing files, and their authors advise against using them in production. Mcat-MCP aims at the person running a store: it has ready tools for orders, customers, returns, stock and sales reports, a change history, and a panel and support in your own language.
Do I get updates?
Yes. Once the key is activated, new versions appear under “Plugins → Installed Plugins” like any other plugin, and you update with one click.
